Legal Process Improvement

Law firms have been streamlining and automating their processes (both front and back office) since the early 1990’s.  The need for process improvement continues, if not increases, because of the pressure legal service organisations are under to streamline and automate wherever they can.

Improved processes result in more effective and efficient teamworking.  It’s not just about ‘the processes’.  It is also about the people who must use processes every day.  More efficient processes means more effective team working.  This leads to happier and more productive teams providing excellent client services.

Legal Process Improvement Training and Certification

The International Institute of Legal Project Management (IILPM) recognises the growing importance of legal process improvement.  It has also observed the dearth of training and certification courses designed with legal process improvement in mind.

Hence the IILPM has created the certification of Legal Process Improvement Professional (LPIP).  It has also created a baseline training course leading to the certification.

Each training provider accredited by the IILPM to deliver LPIP training delivers training which best reflects local market demand.

We are the sole accredited IILPM training provider in the U.K and Ireland.  Since 2017 hundreds of people have become IILPM certified legal project managers after completing one of my legal project management training courses.

We have a background in law, project management, process improvement and legal I.T. and we have learned how best to train professionals in the legal services industry.  We take training seriously.  You should too.

Law firms and in-house legal teams of all sizes want to recruit professionals who can show interest, skills, and knowledge in legal process improvement.

The LPIP Certification shows to current and prospective employers that certification holders can successfully:

  • Plan legal process improvement projects
  • Run legal process improvement workshops
  • Create process maps of various kinds
  • Analyse process maps
  • Identify where process improvements can be best made, and how to make them and
  • Implement changes in working practices and supporting processes.

This course is taught online.

Please note the next public course is scheduled to run in early 2026 - details to be finalised.
